After studying German and linguistics at the University of York, and subsequently graduating from Nottingham Law School, I began my career in civil and commercial litigation in London.
Ultimately I was drawn to the creativity and independence of entrepreneurship over the adversarial courtroom, founding an online multilingual services business before transitioning into further education to teach digital apprenticeships and other professional skills programmes. This trajectory evolved into over a decade of work across adult, vocational, and lifelong education.
As a chartered educational assessor, certified psychometrician and educational gerontologist, I design, evaluate, and optimise high-stakes regulated qualifications, professional certifications, and accreditation frameworks. I also advise providers navigating the Apprenticeship Provider and Assessment Register (APAR) and organisations developing qualifications for Ofqual recognition.
My consultancy is backed by recent postgraduate study in global ageing and policy (gerontology) and applied educational leadership, and has supported an array of pioneering education providers, awarding bodies, specialist colleges, charitable trusts and chartered institutes. Key partnerships have included:

Beyond this, I develop forward-looking evaluation frameworks for community and public sector initiatives, while contributing to working groups and roundtables, including Jisc’s work on AI in education and Historic England’s discussions on wellbeing and workforce inclusion in the arts and cultural heritage.
Parallel Pursuits
Research
I am an emerging and interdisciplinary practitioner-researcher. My MSc dissertation research on the application of later life learning theory in patient education received the Dean’s List Award for Outstanding Academic Achievement in the Faculty of Social, Human, and Mathematical Sciences and the Hazel Muras-Osborn Prize for the most methodologically innovative and potentially impactful research. It was presented at the Early Researchers in Ageing Conference in Oxford in 2026.

I review articles for the Journal of Interactive Media in Education (JIME), supporting dialogue between research and practice in digital learning.
Publishing
I serve on the editorial board of Leadership Connected – an independent academic publication dedicated to bridging research and practice in educational leadership.
